Hey, this is Chinmai Swamy and welcome to another episode of Daily Dynamo today I'm talking about one of my favorite principles, the 19 principles Number three is take care, take ownership of all your outcomes, take care, be responsible for everything that happens around you. I know well, you've heard this many times, but why is this a key principle in becoming going from amateur to professional? But you see, when you're an amateur, you do things to love.
The definition of amateur is to do out of love or of passion. Professionals do to sell for a living. Next, do what you do for a living and make a living and also what you love. And the idea of responsibilities, of outcomes is that anything which happens in your business, you take complete ownership.
Well, what does that mean?
Well, an amateur would say, you know, the website is down. It doesn't matter. I can't afford it. Or the website is just too much too technical to understand or this.
I hired this logo designer. He just messed up.
Oh, this coach. I got this client and this client is just always complaining
The client always wants his money back.
So I don't want to pay or complaining about another coach or another program. They would've bought and didn't get the results.
So if you are always pointing out fingers, you're always telling somebody else is responsible for your situation, then how can you lead another person towards their solution? Because when you only when you take ownership of your situation, you will have the power to lift someone up and find their solution.
Because when you are a coach, a professional coach, you can charge a $1000, $2000, $5000, $20000 or $100000 for coaching sessions.
And I've sold them all.
And it's possible. And the key thing for you to do that is to take ownership of all outcomes. Well, how do you do that? But if you had a coaching session, like you have a client and the client is like complaining and you have to ask yourself. What would a professional coach to? OK, why do I keep attracting these kind of clients, what can I change in my marketing message so that I don't get these clients?
That's one way to take ownership and then another way to look at it is what I'm attracting these clients. I must be doing something wrong because this is not why I started my coaching business.
I wanted to help people.
I want people to love me.
I wanted to see them grow.
I wanted to feel the joy in clients when they get the results. But it's not working out. And this is like I'm getting few of a few more of these. So something is not right. I need to fix that.
When you actually take ownership, you can ask these questions which put you back in control. And that's one of the examples I'm sure you can look at. You can look at your own business and take a look at any area, whether it's content creation, production, it's sales and marketing, its branding or it's doing webinars, sending out emails like saying, you know what, hey, there's e-mails, nobody's opening my email. What's happening? All of that.
If you just take a look at how can you take more control, what can you do that can put you back in control then?
You're taking ownership.
That's the key, because then you have basically switched off your automatic driving in your car and you're taking charge of the driving and you're like, no, what? I'm going to drive this to where I want and not be driven by the car, which is going to just take me wherever it wants to.
So you need to take charge. That's when. So that's the Key thing principle. Number three is to be take ownership of all the outcomes of your life and so that you can handle them.
The key thing is we can handle them. You can't run away from them. If you run away from them, you will block money. You will not be if you run away from your own problems and if you will not attract money because you are implying you can solve your problems and you are implying you can help your client overcome their problems. So you will eventually stop selling, you will eventually stop your client paying you money, so it's a dwindling spiral, so you don't want to get there. So the best way to stop that for a dwindling spiral is to stay where you are and see what hey, this is messy.
This is not a disaster situation I like. But I created this. I will take ownership of this. What can I do now to put me back in control by just one percent? And that mindset you develop over everything you do in your business and your personal life, it will put you back in charge. And that's the principal to going from amateur to professional and professionals always earn the big bucks.
Thanks for watching.
